Story of Fishermen-A photostory
While I went for a road trip to Tajpur, a small village in the coast of Bay of Bengal which is just few kilometers before the very well known tourist spot Digha. There, I saw the fishermen fishing during the evening hours. The first day I carefully observed them. Their techniques, methods, and their hard work. The next day I decided to photograph these fishermen to capture how they do this much of hard work for just few penny of money by which they run their houses. Most of the people here are into fishing or rearing of fishes what we call pisciculture. They sell them in the local market to earn their daily bread and butter.
Since we rode to Tajpur, we had our bikes. I also went to the Udaipur beach just next to Digha sea beach. There I found the fishermen has just started their process of fishing. I went closer, nearer to photograph them and made some images. Here is a short series of photograph about those fishermen.
The photographs here are from both Tajpur beach & Udaipur beach.
This was the story of the hardworking class of our society. They earn very little when compared to their input. But still they are happy.

These large fishing nets require minimum of 7-8 men to control it. As it becomes too heavy and it needs to be pulled slowly so that fishes near the shore gets trapped in it |
